The first 2013 Accora Living newsletter will be available early February. There are numerous articles and photos of our resdients enjoying the many wonderful events held at the Accora Centre. The focus of the first 2013 issue is all about kindness. Kindness Week at Accora Village is being launched on February 15th. Look for details at the Accora Centre, or call Sana at 613-828-6642. Accora Village welcomes residents to enjoy an exciting line-up of recreation programs throughout the fall of 2012 and winter 2012-2013. The new Recreation Guide will be delivered to residents during the week of September 10th. Visit the Accora Centre for more information on any of the programs you are interested in. We will be happy to answer your questions.

This fall and winter we have a great selection of recreation programs. Cricket, basketball, hockey, soccer and personal weight training are all available for adults. We provide a range of activities such as cooking, gaming, fit, art, and movie nights. And to beat the winter blues, experience our warm indoor salt water pool. Seniors Programs

Catering to the 50+ residents in the community, our two senior centres offer a casual meeting place where you can make new friends and share special interests. Members enjoy access to the services of a Registered Nurse for weekly blood pressure checks, as well as exercise classes and friendly advice. Take part in special holiday celebrations, plan sightseeing excursions or just drop in for a coffee or a game of cards. New members and new ideas are always welcome. The best part? ... for Accora Village residents, membership is free!

and discusses medications, health and related issues.

Bingo

A fun night with lots of laughs and maybe even a prize or two!
Day & Time: Thursday evenings, 6:45pm–8:30pm

Fee: 25¢ per card or $1 for 5 cards

Bridge

Join your neighbours for a friendly game of bridge.
Day & Time: Thursday afternoons, 1:00pm–4:00 pm

Enjoy a sizzling summer in Accora Village with our fantastic line-up of recreation programs! Adults can get moving with a variety of activities including badminton, basketball and personal weight training. For the kids we have a range of fun activities from floor hockey and basketball to cooking club and movie nights. To beat the heat, nothing tops a dip in either the indoor or the outdoor pool.
